Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a holistic treatment that utilizes tiny, sterile needles to restore health and balance. This systemic approach understands health to be an interconnected and dynamic whole. No one issue can be assessed separately from the others. Assessment and treatment looks not only at the isolated problem or symptom, but also beyond it to improve your overall health.

Rather, light pressure focuses on the superficial tissues of the body where the majority of the lymph system runs. These specific movements direct fluid from the tissues into the lymph nodes where it is washed to rid the body of cellular waste, bacteria, and viruses. In doing so, MLD enhances recovery, decreases inflammation, facilitates drainage, and accelerates tissue repair. It is excellent in the treatment of acne, rosacea, skin and tissue inflammation, TMJ, headaches, puffy eyes, chronic sinus infections, and wound healing.

Chiropractic intervention restores optimal structure and alignment for optimal function. Its foundational principle honors the innate ability of the body to heal. Treatment is centered around the nervous system – the brain and spinal cord – which through nerves, serves and controls our muscles, cells and organs.

In this way, chiropractic assesses and treats the body as a whole. Its objective is to restore normal function – normal motion, normal joint function, normal nervous system function - thus restoring the body’s ability to do what it was made to do.

Adriana Lazare is a licensed and board-certified Chiropractor based in Long Beach, New York. She became a Chiropractor out of her desire to help others and has immersed herself in a career of service. She is passionate about facilitating holistic, individualized care for each member of her community. Her training has strengthened her ability to view the body as a whole and her goal is to provide treatment that is comprehensive rather than symptom-based.

A high school running injury brought her to chiropractic care, and from this young age she began her journey learning how optimal alignment can lead to optimal function for all joints and the whole body. She quickly connected to the chiropractic philosophy of natural healing and the inherent power of the body to adapt, heal and grow.

Dr. Lazare holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Health & Wellness from Binghamton University and a Doctorate in Chiropractic from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. Her background incorporates integrative techniques that help to find and treat the root cause of pain as well as promote wellness and the innate capacities of the body. Her philosophy stems from the understanding that movement is life and healing can happen from within.

Dr. Lazare has worked with a diverse population of all ages. She is an avid learner and continues to build upon her foundation of knowledge of the body to promote health. She holds certifications in Active Release Technique, Neurokinetic Therapy and Functional Taping for Musculoskeletal Injury. She is trained in multiple soft tissue therapies and Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, a neurologic re-education rehab technique.

She continues her love of health and wellness as a certified Pure Barre Instructor. She incorporates this knowledge of the body and exercise science in a functional approach to patient care. Motivating others crosses over from clients in her classes to patients in her office. She believes in educating her patients to better empower them about their health; understanding that health is a complex combination of physical, chemical and emotional well-being, where each piece can influence the other.
